Reduction of CO2 emissions

The metal recycling industry realizes a considerable reduction of the CO2-emissons. By using secondary raw materials, 572 million tons of CO2 are reduced annually for ferrous, aluminium and copper!

Recycling rates of more than 90% are achieved through return of discarded materials to the cycle. In this way the entire industry limits the quarry of increasingly scarce primary raw materials. In addition, there are enormous energy savings in the recycling of metals compared to using primary raw materials. Here you will find the extensive report (Report on the environmental benefits of recycling) of the BIR.

Urban mining

The recovery of raw materials from discarded materials is called Urban Mining. Because Limburg Recycling travels directly from the source to the final destination, we limit direct emissions and pollution by unnecessary transports and handling.

Because we place secondary raw materials as high as possible in the supply chain, the supplier receives a better yield and there is little loss of raw materials. Limburg Recycling is therefore rightly an URBAN MINING company.

T-shirts for the good cause

These shirts were developed by and for men of steel. So also heavy quality with cool prints. We hit the mark even harder than expected, as the shirts proved to be unprecedentedly popular outside the recycling industry as well, so it became more than just a playful campaign to support a good cause. The shirts cost €24.95, of which €10.00 will be donated to the charity below for each one. Do you want this model? Then order quickly because the edition is limited.

Charities

At Limburg Recycling, this year we chose to donate our corporate gift budget to 4 heartwarming initiatives:
ALS Foundation (through Serious Request)
Food banks in the Netherlands
Make a Wish
KWF Cancer Society
Children's Aid Foundation These organizations are committed to helping those in need right now. Help that is indispensable, especially in this time where everyone could use a helping hand.
